The Targaryen civil war reaches its catastrophic zenith in Season 3 of HBO’s flagship fantasy juggernaut House of the Dragon. With peace treaties burned to ash and dragons flying over the Crownlands, the upcoming run promises the most complex aerial battle choreography in television history.

Showrunner Ryan Condal confirmed that the delayed Battle of the Gullet—one of the deadliest naval and dragon conflicts in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood—will serve as the central centerpiece early in the season.
